Graduate Student Placement

Graduate placement continues to be excellent. The following tables depict the placement of Ph.D. and M.S. graduates from the Department from Fall 1995 to date. Placement of Ph.D. students has been 100%, with the largest placements in federal agencies (36%), university faculty positions (32%), and state agencies (23%).

Placement of M.S. students has also been strong. Placement is essentially 100%. The largest employers of our M.S. students were state agencies (39%), followed by federal agencies (26%), private and tribal employment (19%), and continued academic work (14%).

All positions shown represent first positions after graduation. Some of these students have moved to other positions since their initial employment.
