We invite you to join us to share research and results from completed and ongoing state projects, related research projects, and GAP applications implemented to increase and sustain biodiversity.  This meeting will be held at the Brookings Area Multiplex in Brookings, South Dakota, from June 17-20, 2001.

Concurrent sessions and workshops will feature discussions of Aquatic GAP, partnerships, GAP applications, planning, policy, and collaboration.  A special afternoon session and panel discussion focused on land cover mapping will be held for participants at EROS Data Center, near Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Tours of the EROS Data Center will also be available.

Each GAP topic will be addressed within working sessions that will educate participants and include extensive discussion to identify: (1) research agendas to address needs and opportunities, (2) needed revisions or additions to program standards, and (3) new or modified methods that should be investigated and adopted.  Results will be reported to participants and used by the national program to revise the GAP Handbook and establish a research agenda.
